Giuliano Simeone was fouled from behind during an exhibition match between Alaves and Burgos. After seeing what seemed to be an injury to his left foot, the 20-year-old striker remained down as players from both sides called for assistance.

Fans and athletes cheered as the player was taken away in an ambulance that had just arrived on the field. The game was abandoned when it was about to conclude.

Alaves withheld more information on the wound right away.

Giuliano Simeone was slated to make Alaves his first-division team this year. Last year, he competed with Zaragoza in the second division.
