Box office earnings for Oppenheimer vs. Barbie: On Day 5, Christopher Nolan’s Work Outperforms Margot Robbie’s Doll Tale in India

One of the biggest Hollywood blockbusters this year was “Oppenheimer,” starring Cillian Murphy and Barbie, played by Margot Robbie. With Barbie controlling the world and Oppenheimer dominating India, both movies are doing very well.<img decoding=”async” class=”alignnone wp-image-96416″ src=”” alt=”” width=”1407″ height=”788″ srcset=” 300w,×84.jpg 150w” sizes=”(max-width: 1407px) 100vw, 1407px” />

As “Oppenheimer” became the top option for Indian viewers. The movie made roughly Rs 6.25 crore on day 5 and crossed the Rs 50 crore mark at the Indian box office in only five days. The film directed by Christopher Nolan had a fantastic trend throughout the opening weekend and attempted to keep it going into its first week.

The movie had a staggering Rs 14.5 crore opening weekend in India and ended up taking in over Rs 48.75 crore. However, it is anticipated to bring in between Rs 75 and Rs 80 crore before beginning its second run at the Indian box office.

On the other side, “Barbie” made history in India and gave Oppenheimer internationally strong competition. In India, the movie grossed around Rs 2.30 crore on day five after opening for Rs 5 crore.

It’s interesting to note that despite the intense anticipation for both movies before to their debut, some Indian audiences have criticized them for falling short of their expectations. Many people claim that the scene in which Cillian Murphy had sex with Florence Pugh while reading to her from the sacred Bhagavad Gita offended them.

Similar to this, parents find it upsetting since “Barbie” contains profanity and has sexual overtones. However, the movie was given a PG-13 rating, which signified that some of its content or situations could not be suitable for viewers under the age of 13.

Oppenheimer and Barbie are doing well at the box office despite some Indian audiences’ differing opinions of the movies.
